On August 10th, 2019, Kenya Cup champions KCB and Homeboyz secured spots in the 2019 Dala Sevens Main Cup quarterfinals after winning their second pool matches.
They will be joined by championship winners Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) RFC, who booked their third consecutive quarter-final berth in the three legs.
KCB beat Kenyatta University's Blak Blad 17-0 in their second pool match, with circuit top scorer Vincent Onyala making two tries.
Homeboyz joined the bankers in the next round after Mike Nyakundi, Charles Omondi, Collins Shikoli, and Augustine Lugonzo's brace anchored them to a 31-0 win over Vihiga Granites and a narrow 24-14 win over Blak Blad.
MMUST sailed into today's quarters after thrashing their rivals Western Bulls 26-12 and knocking them out of the Main Cup trophy.
Kenya Cup side Kabras Sugar, Strathmore Leos, and hosts Kisumu RFC were relegated to the challenge trophy after losing their two opening matches.
