On August 11, 2019, Kenya's Correctional Services underwent a significant shake-up with the transfer of all officers in charge of prisons.
According to reports, the transfers were announced by Correctional Services Principal Secretary Zainab Hussein, who gave the affected officers a week to report to their new stations.
Ms. Hussein also stated that she would personally issue authority to incur expenditure (AIE) to the officers at their new stations.
