A 25-year-old woman was severely injured after being raped and stabbed multiple times by a man in Bomet County on August 7th, 2019.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspect, Mr. Bernard Ng'etich, committed the heinous act and went on the run.
However, a manhunt was launched, and the suspect was eventually arrested on August 10th, 2019, following help from members of the public.
As reported by the DCI, the suspect stabbed the victim several times on her private parts using a Somali sword before fleeing the scene.
The woman was left for dead but was luckily found by members of the public and rushed to hospital, where she is currently in a stable condition.
Mr. Ng'etich is currently in lawful custody and is set to be arraigned in court on August 12th, 2019.
