Masinde Muliro University Campus Deaths: A Growing Concern

Published on August 11, 2019, a series of tragic events has shaken Masinde Muliro University, with three students losing their lives in a span of just one month.

The latest victim, Belinda Akeyo Achieng, a Fourth Year Bachelor of Education student, was found lifeless with blood oozing from her mouth and private parts.

Her death comes two weeks after the mysterious death of Fouzia Adan Ibrahim, a 22-year-old Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance student, whose body was discovered by a friend at her residence in Makuti estate, Lurambi trading centre.

Another student, Sydney Ogeto Ndege, a 21-year-old Environmental Science student from Birongo village, Rigoma in Nyamira County, was found dead in his house on June 18, just after sitting his final Fourth Year examination.

Additionally, the bodies of Peter Kamotho Kamau, a Third Year Commerce and Finance student, and Clement Omollo Ogendo, a Fourth Year Information Technology student, were found in separate incidents, with the latter's body bearing injuries on the head.
