On Sunday, Bandari FC drew 0-0 with Al Ahly Shandy of Sudan in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash at the Kasarani Stadium.

The draw means that Bandari FC will now have a mountain to climb when they travel to Sudan for the return leg in two weeks' time, knowing they have a poor performance away from home.

Bandari FC's last away loss was in 2016, when they drew 1-1 with St. Eloui Lupopo of DRC at Nyayo in Nairobi before losing 2-0 in Lubumbashi.

Despite introducing Wycliff Ochomo and Benjamin Mosha in the second half, Bandari FC were unable to change the scoreline.

Al Ahly Shandy's Mohammed Abdallah thought he had put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute, but was denied by assistant referee Abdi Nour for offside.
