As Saturday, August 10, 2019, approached, TUKO.co.ke compiled a list of photos that garnered attention from readers within and outside the country.
Among the top news stories was Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris, who left a section of her male followers on Twitter drooling and salivating for her flawless skin after sharing photos that exposed part of her upper body.
Passaris wore the dress during a dinner function attended by top leaders, including Opposition leader Raila Odinga and Maranda High School alumni.
Some male followers boldly asked the women rep for a date, all the expenses and conditions notwithstanding.
Other top news stories included a fuel tanker explosion in Tanzania's Morogoro area, which left close to 60 people dead, and a fracas at Nairobi Central SDA church that forced the police to intervene and lock worshipers outside the sanctuary.
The unrest at the church was linked to leadership wrangles that dated back to 2015 disputed elections.
Two factions had locked horns for a long time, and the situation had been worsening in recent times.
The leadership of SDA churches expelled 15 members linked to the perennial chaos in the sanctuary on Friday, August 9.
Additionally, Rwanda's President Paul Kagame launched a world-class ultra-modern stadium, Kigali Arena, which has the capacity to host 10,000 spectators and was constructed in six months.
