On Saturday, Posta Rangers, a Kenyan Premier League side, dominated National Super League side Shabana 3-0 in the Kenya Communications Sports Organisation (KECOSO) Games at Gusii Stadium.
Francis Nambute scored two goals, while Marcelius Ingotsi scored the third for Posta Rangers, who are participants in the one-week event.
Shabana, on the other hand, were invited to grace the event.
Nambute's first goal came in the 20th minute, heading in a well-curved corner from Michael Apudo.
Ingotsi capitalized on Shabana's laxity and scored the second goal after dribbling past four players, giving Posta Rangers a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Just 15 minutes into the second half, Nambute scored the third and final goal for Posta Rangers, prompting many fans to leave the stadium.
Speaking after the match, Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau said that they were using the games as part of their preseason training.
"We are rebuilding our team after evading relegation by a whisker, which compelled us to bolster the squad by signing about seven new players," he said.
