On Saturday, Manchester City's Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick in the Premier League champions' 5-0 demolition of West Ham, marking a triumphant start to their title defence.
According to Sterling, the key to their success was starting well and securing the win. He told BT Sport, "The most important thing was to start well and get the win. Once the second goal went in I thought we were brilliant."
Despite a sluggish first half, Manchester City found their rhythm in the second half, with Sterling scoring three goals and Sergio Aguero adding another from the penalty spot.
With a talented squad, Sterling expressed his delight in scoring, saying, "With the players we have here there are competitions in training every day. It's a joy to put the ball in the back of the net."
