On Thursday evening, Daniel Omollo returned home to his village of Umoja in Lugari location, only to find his wife, Caroline Nekesa, preparing tea.

However, Omollo insisted on eating ugali instead, sparking an argument with his wife.

The couple's disagreement escalated, and Nekesa poured boiling tea on Omollo, inflicting severe burns on his neck and chest.

Police say Nekesa fled the scene, leaving her husband in pain, and neighbors rushed him to Lugari Forest Dispensary for treatment.

According to Lugari Location Chief Evans Adavaji, the suspect remains at large.
