On August 10, 2019, a significant breakthrough was made in the recovery of stolen cattle in Samburu County.
A 52-year-old man from Ngachebo village was caught with over 20 herds of cattle he had stolen from Narok County.
The owner of the cattle, Dan Ole Mtu, had been searching for his stolen animals for a long time. He had tried informing the law enforcers and nyumba kumi officers, but to no avail.
Desperate for a solution, Mtu sought the help of Daktari Nyuki, a self-proclaimed miracle worker who claims to have powers to arrest thieves and recover stolen items.
According to Mtu, Daktari Nyuki used his 'medicine' to confuse the thief, causing him to feed on grass in the company of the stolen cattle. The thief was eventually caught and handed over to the police.
