On August 10, 2019, a shocking incident of jealousy turned violent in Nyandarua County, Kenya.
A 33-year-old man, reportedly in a romantic relationship with his female cousin for several years, allegedly stabbed her after discovering she was cheating on him with another man.
According to reports, the man had been dating his cousin despite attempts by their family to stop the relationship. The family's efforts were in vain, and the couple continued their affair.
However, things took a deadly turn when the man discovered his cousin's infidelity. In a fit of rage, he allegedly stabbed her using a knife and then attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen.
Fortunately, both the man and his cousin survived the ordeal and are currently receiving treatment at Naivasha Sub-County Referral Hospital.
Senior doctor Angeline Ithondeka confirmed that the two are in a stable condition and will be interrogated once they have fully recovered.
