On Wednesday, a 33-year-old man from Nyandarua County found himself at the center of a shocking love triangle that turned violent.
According to reports, the man had been dating his cousin for a couple of years, despite attempts by their family to stop the relationship.
However, things took a dark turn when he discovered that his cousin was allegedly cheating on him with another man.
In a fit of rage, he reportedly stabbed his cousin using a knife and then tried to take his own life by stabbing himself in the abdomen.
Fortunately, both the man and his cousin survived and are currently being treated at Naivasha Sub-County Referral Hospital.
Senior doctor Angeline Ithondeka confirmed that the two are in a stable condition and will be interrogated once they have fully recovered.
It is alleged that the man had threatened to kill himself when his family tried to intervene in the relationship, and that his cousin had even gotten pregnant before terminating the pregnancy.
