Anthony Joshua's highly anticipated rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on December 7, with the British boxer seeking to reclaim his heavyweight titles after a stunning loss in June.

Joshua's first bout against Ruiz Jr ended in a major upset, with the Mexican-American boxer dropping the Briton four times before securing a seventh-round knockout on June 1.

Despite being a significant underdog, Ruiz Jr's victory marked one of the biggest shocks in heavyweight boxing history, with Joshua's three titles on the line.

Following his loss, Joshua immediately triggered the rematch clause in his contract, aiming to regain his titles and restore his status as the division's top contender.

According to reports, the rematch is expected to be worth £70m, with Ruiz Jr likely to pocket a career-high £10m for his efforts.

Joshua will head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in December, where he will face Ruiz Jr in a highly anticipated rematch. The Briton will start as the favourite, despite being dropped four times by Ruiz Jr in their initial encounter.

Joshua's loss to Ruiz Jr sparked widespread speculation about the Briton's performance, with some reports suggesting he suffered a panic attack in the dressing room before the fight. However, Joshua made no excuses for his defeat, stating that he would correct his mistakes and get the job done in the rematch.
