On Wednesday night, a woman in Kibisi, Tongeren constituency, allegedly attacked her husband for stealing her Sh1,000 and spending it on alcohol.
According to reports, the woman, Babra Caro, was rescued by the police from a mob that wanted to lynch her after the incident.
Her husband, Ronald Wekesa, was taken to Lugulu Mission Hospital but died of heavy bleeding.
Webuye OCPD Vallerian Obare stated that Caro was charged with murder on the same day.
Neighbour Jane Wamalwa, who rushed to the scene, described the scene as 'groaning in pain with blood oozing from the nose and the mouth.'
It is alleged that the couple had separated in the past but reconciled and went back to living together.
The deceased's mother, Gertrude Wekesa, expressed her sadness over her son's death, stating that women should learn to walk away from marriages if they cannot withstand the pressure.
The deceased's father, Aaron Wekesa, also expressed his devastation, saying he is now taking care of their five children.
