On July 19, 2019, Tob Cohen, a 71-year-old Dutch millionaire, was living a life of luxury in Nairobi, Kenya. However, his life was about to take a dramatic turn.
At the time, Cohen was embroiled in a divorce case with his estranged wife, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho, and was also involved in a dispute over a multi-million-shilling property. To make matters worse, he had filed an assault case against his wife.
On July 20, 2019, Cohen vanished between 2pm and 3pm, leaving behind only a briefcase and a white car. His wife told the Nation that Cohen had said he was taking a break to seek medical treatment and escape the pressure from his lawyers.
His workers reported that Cohen left his high-security compound, which was equipped with CCTV cameras, on the afternoon of July 20. They claimed that he was driven off in a white car, but they did not know who was behind the wheel.
Ms. Wairimu told the Nation on Thursday evening that her husband had not returned home since his disappearance.
