On August 9, 2019, the disappearance of Dutch millionaire Tob Cohen sent shockwaves through Kenya's high society.
Cohen, a 71-year-old tours and travel guru, had been embroiled in a bitter divorce case with his 50-something-year-old wife Sarah Wairimu Kamotho.
The couple's marital woes were compounded by a multi-million-shilling property dispute and an assault case filed by Cohen against his wife.
But nothing could have prepared Cohen's loved ones for his sudden vanishing act between July 19 and 20, 2019.
According to his wife, Cohen told her he was taking a break from the chaos, seeking medical treatment and escaping the pressure from his lawyers.
However, Cohen's workers claim he left his high-security compound on July 20 at around 2pm, carrying only a briefcase and driven off in a white car.
Ms Wairimu told the Nation, 'My husband has not come home ever since.'
As the search for Cohen continues, his family and friends are left to wonder what could have led to his disappearance.
