Published on August 9, 2019, sushi has become a staple in many cuisines around the world. However, there are certain etiquette rules to follow when consuming this delicacy.

When it comes to dipping your sushi, it's essential to do it correctly. Dip the fish side down, avoiding the rice, and rotate the sushi to ensure the fish side is facing down.

Another crucial aspect is the use of wasabi. While it's tempting to mix it with soy sauce, this is only acceptable when eating sashimi. Instead, apply a small amount directly to the fish.

For the best experience, eat your sushi fish side down. This allows you to fully appreciate the flavor and texture of the fish.

Between sushi pieces, it's customary to eat ginger. This acts as a palate cleanser, preparing your taste buds for the next piece.

When it comes to soy sauce, it's considered taboo to waste it. Only pour out a little at a time and top up as necessary.

Finally, when eating sushi, it's generally acceptable to use your hands, except for sashimi. This allows you to fully appreciate the texture and presentation of the dish.
