Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has shared her vision for Kenya's youth, expressing her desire to be the country's first female president.
On August 7, 2019, Huddah took to Instagram to share her concerns about the unemployment situation in Kenya, particularly among the youth. She noted that 78% of Kenyans are below the age of 35, and there are no jobs available.
"78% of Kenyans are below 35 yrs old. There are no jobs in Kenya. The government can’t give everyone a job. Private companies too can’t," Huddah wrote.
She proposed a manifesto for Kenya's youth, including providing loans to those with great ideas and having the government own a percentage in their businesses.
"If I was the government, na pesa yote wanaiba, I’d make sure everyone who has a great idea gets a loan, and the government owns a percentage in that business," Huddah stated.
She also expressed her frustration with the selfishness of some black people, who she believes are hoarding wealth while others struggle to make ends meet.
"Why are we as Black people soooo selfish. All those who have died, we’ve buried many this year alone. Did they leave with their billions? I’ve never understood why one person would have millions, billions in their account, private jets, yachts while someone somewhere is sleeping hungry with no roof over their head?????" Huddah posed.
