On August 9, 2019, Vivo announced the Y12, a budget-friendly smartphone with impressive features.
The Vivo Y12 boasts a 6.35-inch LCD HD display with a resolution of 1544 x 720 pixels. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 (MT 6762) chipset and comes in two variants: 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB onboard storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The device features a triple-lens camera setup, consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is an 8MP sensor. The phone also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports dual-SIM functionality.
Other notable features of the Vivo Y12 include 2.4G + 5G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is available in two color options: Burgundy Red and Aqua Blue.
The Vivo Y12 is priced at around KES. 16,000 in Kenya.
