Arsenal Signs Kieran Tierney in £25m Deal ¶
On transfer deadline day, Arsenal announced the signing of Scottish defender Kieran Tierney on a five-year deal worth £25m.
Tierney, 22, joins the Gunners from Celtic, where he spent four seasons winning eight major titles.
He will wear jersey number three for Arsenal this season, as confirmed on the club's official website.
Tierney made 29 appearances for Celtic last season, scoring one goal and assisting four others.
His experience in the topflight will be valuable for the Gunners, who have been lacking in the backline.
Coach Unai Emery welcomed Tierney, saying: "We're delighted Kieran is joining us. He's a very talented player who will continue to improve. He increases our options defensively and I look forward to him joining our group."
Tierney made his national team debut in 2016 and has gone on to make 12 appearances for Scotland.
During his time with Celtic, he won four Scottish League titles among several other domestic silverwares.
