OPPO Secures Global Patent Deals with Ericsson and Intel

On August 8, 2019, OPPO, a leading global smartphone brand, signed a multi-year global patent license agreement with Ericsson, a leading provider of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the world.

The deal with Ericsson is the latest in a series of patent license agreements by OPPO with key telecommunication industry partners, including Qualcomm, Dolby, and Nokia.

As part of the agreement, OPPO has purchased rights to over 500 patents from Ericsson, covering countries from a global perspective, including Kenya.

Securing communications patents from Intel and Ericsson will serve to bolster OPPO's technological development capacity as the company grows its business in global markets.
