On August 8, 2019, Romelu Lukaku made a long-awaited move to Inter Milan from Manchester United, signing a five-year contract with the Serie A club.
According to Inter, Lukaku's contract will expire on June 30, 2024, but the club did not disclose the Belgian's wages or the transfer fee, reportedly around 80 million euros (Sh9 billion).
Inter announced the deal with a video of Lukaku in an Inter shirt, saying, "Inter: it's not for everyone, that's why I'm here."
Before joining Inter, Lukaku had been training with Anderlecht, the club where he started his senior career, and had not played a single minute for Manchester United's pre-season campaign.
