On August 8, 2019, the Kenya Editors Guild (KEG) launched a quarterly publication, Kenya Journalism Review, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi during the Media Council of Kenya's Annual Media Summit.

The publication aims to provide a platform for serious, well-researched, and in-depth articles on issues affecting the media and journalism, according to KEG President Churchill Otieno.

"It is a publication for serious, well-researched and in-depth articles on issues affecting the media and journalism," Otieno said.

The first publication covers topics such as media funding, regulation, journalism training, audience measurement, crime reporting, and newsroom leadership.

KEG has established an editorial board to govern the content of the journal, comprising current and former editors and scholars.
