Published on August 8, 2019, Dr. Lukoye Atwoli, the Dean of Moi University's School of Medicine, has announced his resignation, stating that he can no longer continue working under the current circumstances.

According to a letter shared online, Dr. Atwoli expressed his frustration with the challenging environment at the university, where he felt he had lost trust and support from his colleagues and the university leadership.

"I have found myself in a situation where I can no longer continue with my work. I have lost trust, and I am no longer trusted by my colleagues and the university leadership," Dr. Atwoli said in the letter.
