Published on August 8, 2019, Tanzanian singer Amber Lulu has shared a heartwarming story of Nandy's generosity.
During an interview at the Nandy Festival, Lulu revealed that Nandy had sent her money to cover her rent when she was facing financial difficulties.
“Nandy is my sister. I had a pending rent payment and when Nandy heard about it, she offered to pay it up for me. She not only sent me money for rent but also for my upkeep,” said Amber Lulu.
According to Lulu, she was deeply touched by Nandy's gesture and was willing to perform for free at the festival. However, Nandy insisted on paying her, saying, “No, I know you have no other source of income aside from music,” and paid her.
Amber Lulu also praised Nandy for organizing the all-female Nandy Festival line-up, which brought together female artistes. She described Nandy as someone with a good heart who would readily come to the aid of a friend in need.
