On August 8, 2019, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Allen Gichuhi addressed concerns over Lawyer Cliff Ombeta's registration status.
Contrary to claims by Stephen Ongaro, Ombeta's lawyer in the Willie Kimani case, Gichuhi clarified that Ombeta is indeed a licensed and registered lawyer.
Gichuhi's statement came hours after Ongaro alleged that Ombeta was not qualified to practice law.
A screenshot of Ombeta's active status on the LSK website further supports Gichuhi's claim.
