Manchester United and Inter Milan have reached an agreement over the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, with the Italian club agreeing to pay a £74m fee for the Belgian striker.
The deal comes after a long and complicated negotiation between the two clubs, with Juventus also joining the race for Lukaku's signature but ultimately withdrawing from the deal.
United had initially rejected Inter's initial £54m bid for Lukaku in July, but the two clubs have now reached a mutually agreeable fee.
Inter boss Antonio Conte has insisted that Lukaku remains his number one target, despite the striker missing United's pre-season friendlies due to an ankle injury.
Lukaku's agent, Federico Pastorello, posted a photo on Instagram of the two of them on a private jet, with the caption 'Ready to take off. Direction Milano.'
United and Inter have been at loggerheads over the transfer of Lukaku, with the Red Devils wanting the £75m they paid Everton for the striker two years ago.
However, the two clubs have now reached an agreement, with Inter agreeing to pay the £74m fee for Lukaku's transfer.
