August 8, 2019, marked a day of desperation for a Kenyan family as they sought help to find their kin who has been missing in Saudi Arabia for over nine years.
Josphine Mumbi Kimani, a Kenyan citizen, left for Saudi Arabia in 2011, but her family has been unable to establish contact with her since then.
According to Nelson Mithamo Muriuki, a Kenyan entrepreneur and humanitarian based in the US, Josphine is the daughter of renowned author Kimani Ng'gí and his wife Irene Wangari Kimani.
“Her family has been worried for a lengthy period of time,” said Muriuki.
The family has appealed to the Kenyan community and authorities in Saudi Arabia to help them trace Josphine, who holds a Kenyan passport number A2502532.
“Her family urgently needs any possible leads that can solve this misery,” noted Muriuki.
