Franklin Wallah, a seasoned investigative reporter for K24 TV, has left Mediamax after three and a half years of service. The news was announced on his Facebook page, where he expressed gratitude to his colleagues and promised a comeback soon.

Wallah, who has been working on high-profile stories, including the AMISOM mission in Somalia, did not reveal his next destination or the reasons behind his sudden departure.

His departure comes barely a week after his return from Somalia, where he covered the progress of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) in the fight against Al Shabaab.

Before joining K24, Wallah worked as a news reporter with the State broadcaster, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

He is the latest in a string of high-profile departures from Mediamax, following the exit of Joyce Gituro, the company's Head of Radio, who left due to personal reasons.
