Marriage is often romanticized, but the reality is far from the fairy tale. For those who have been married, they know that it's a whole different ball game.

According to Katherine Kamau, a former actress who tied the knot with Phil Karanja in 2017, marriage brings about significant changes. 'You're no longer the teenager you used to be,' she says. 'You don't do the same things, it's like you mature up and get real with life.'

On social media, Kamau humorously shared her take on the challenges of marriage, saying: 'New relationship will have the girl child receive video calls at 3am with a full face beat on??.. anyway, the bra and wig will be changed for the sitting room door.'

Fans were quick to respond, sharing their own humorous takes on the realities of marriage. 'Hahaha, you're telling the truth,' one fan wrote. 'And what about the Kibaki t-shirt and Serengeti cow?' another fan joked.

As one fan put it, 'Time will surely come when I'll be saying the same thing.'
