Investigations into the Aror and Kimwarer dam scandal have uncovered shocking details, including a 200M bribe offered to Treasury PS Kamau Thugge by his boss, CS Rotich.

According to sources, the PS was under immense pressure to sign for additional funds of up to Sh 4B from the ministry, but he refused the bribe and insisted on following due process.

The government had already paid 21B shillings to the Italian firm CMC di Ravenna for the projects, despite no work having started or building materials being purchased.

As investigations near closure, the DCI has narrowed down to two Cabinet Secretaries whose names have been adversely mentioned and have already been grilled by detectives.

The Aror and Kimwarer dam scandal is one of the biggest public thefts in history, and Kenyans are eager to see results from President Uhuru's efforts to crack down on corrupt officials.
