On August 7, 2019, Caroline Mutoko sparked a heated debate with her comments on alcoholics and drug addicts making poor partners and fathers.

While some critics accused her of being too feminist, the radio queen's words seemed to foreshadow the struggles that Limuru women would soon face.

Fast forward to the present, and the women of Limuru are speaking out about their sexual dissatisfaction, citing a culture of men who prioritize drinking over their relationships.

According to the women, their partners often leave home early in the morning to drink, only to return in a state of intoxication, unable to fulfill their duties as lovers and fathers.

The women are now calling for the closure of bars and appealing to men from other communities to come to their aid, highlighting the devastating impact of alcoholism on families and communities.

As one woman put it, 'Alcoholism has its roots as deep as any other disease. It trickles down from continuous irresponsible use of alcohol.'
