On August 7, 2019, a Kenyan family's desperate search for their kin who has been missing in Saudi Arabia for over nine years began to gain attention.
Josphine Mumbi Kimani, the daughter of renowned Kenyan author Kimani Ngoci and his wife Irene Wangari Kimani, left for Saudi Arabia in 2011. Despite efforts by her family to trace her, she has remained uncontactable.
Nelson Mithamo Muriuki, a Kenyan entrepreneur and humanitarian based in the US, brought attention to the family's plight through a Facebook post.
“Her family has been worried for a lengthy period of time,” Muriuki noted.
The family, who are desperate for any leads that can solve this misery, have appealed to the Kenyan community and authorities in Saudi Arabia for assistance. Josphine holds a Kenyan passport number A2502532.
