Sebastien Migne Leaves Harambee Stars for France ¶
Sebastien Migne, the coach of Kenya's national soccer team Harambee Stars, has left the country to return to France for personal reasons. He is expected to return after his son receives medical treatment.
According to Migne, he will be away from August 12 and will return once his son is out of the hospital.
"I will be back in France from August 12 because I have a daughter who will be in the hospital, I will return to France," Migne said in an interview with Capital FM.
His departure comes after Harambee Stars were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations by Tanzania in a penalty shootout.
Some Kenyans had called for Migne's resignation after the team's elimination, but he maintained that he would not leave his post.
"I knew it would not be easy when I signed the contract, it would be tough, but mine is to try and make sure we have a good team," Migne said in response to the criticism.
