On August 7, 2019, a dramatic scene unfolded at the National Assembly chamber when Kwale County Women Rep Zulekha Juma Hassan brought her five-month-old baby into the chambers.

However, just hours later, Parliament released photos of its fully equipped breastfeeding room, contradicting the Women Rep's claims that such a room did not exist.

The photos, released on the same day, show a comfortable and well-equipped space designed for nursing mothers.
