According to Gait, his absence from social media has been due to an unnamed illness he has been battling in silence.
"I have been battling a condition and have gone to quite a number of hospitals and it has been decided I have to go out of the country for specialized treatment," he said in a video shared with his fans.
He went on to reveal that he was on the verge of traveling to India and asked his fans to keep him in prayer.
"If I've blessed you in any way through my music or any other way, it's time for me to seek your support. Just say a prayer for me, it will go a long way," the singer added.
When news of Gait's illness first broke, many netizens were skeptical, assuming it was another publicity stunt. However, the singer's solemn video has left many wishing him well as he seeks treatment.
It's worth noting that this is not the first time Gait has made headlines. He previously claimed to be stalked by two ladies who were determined to tie the knot with him.
