On Tuesday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested five individuals suspected of stealing goods worth over Ksh.2 million from Cornstar Maize Millers in Makuyu.
According to the DCI, the stolen goods included 387 bales of Cornstar flour and other assorted items, which were recovered during operations conducted in Nairobi's Utawala and Thome estates.
The five suspects, aged between 23 and 41, are currently in police custody awaiting arraignment. They are Duncan Kihumba (41), Stephen Ng'ang'a (39), Patrick Mwangi (38), Anthony Kimani (23), and Edward Mwangi (34).
The suspects will be charged with robbery with violence, and the recovered goods will be used as exhibits during prosecution. Three other suspects connected to the robbery had earlier been arrested and charged.
