Published on August 7, 2019, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is preparing for a challenging Premier League campaign after narrowly missing out on the title by a single point to Manchester City last season.

Klopp has identified six teams that he believes will be in contention for the title, including Chelsea, who are under the tutelage of Frank Lampard, and Arsenal.

"I'd say there are at least six teams in contention. Everton, for example, have tried to stay very ambitious," Klopp told Sky Sports.

He also expressed his confidence in Chelsea's ability to challenge for the title, citing Frank Lampard's arrival at Stamford Bridge as a key factor.

"I don't know where people get the idea that Arsenal will not challenge, that Chelsea will not challenge with Frank [Lampard] bringing complete excitement to the club," Klopp said.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will kick off the 2019/20 campaign with a mouthwatering clash against Norwich on Friday, August 9.

The Reds will be hoping to bounce back from their heartbreak last season and win their first league title since 1990.
