Are you tired of cluttered closets and wasted space? Marie Kondo, a renowned Japanese organizing consultant and author, has revolutionized the way we fold clothes with her innovative KonMari method.

Published on August 7, 2019, Kondo's technique involves folding clothes into compact, rectangular shapes that can be stood up in drawers, maximizing storage capacity and minimizing clutter.

One of the key benefits of the KonMari method is its ability to fit multiple items in a single drawer. For example, it's possible to store up to 10 pairs of denim trousers in a single drawer, making it an ideal solution for those with limited closet space.

So, how does it work? To fold a pair of trousers, start by laying them flat and folding them lengthwise in half with the front side facing up. Next, pull the zip protrusion back in line with the trouser and fold it into a third and another third. Finally, fold the result into half and place it vertically in a drawer.

Other items, such as tops, stockings, and jackets, can also be folded using the KonMari method. For instance, to fold a tee shirt, fold it into one straight strip from the outside of the neckline and then fold it into a half and a quarter. Stockings can be folded in half and then rolled into a cinnamon roll shape, while jackets and hoodies can be folded with the arms inwards and the hood flat onto the arms.

By adopting the KonMari folding method, individuals can enjoy a more organized and clutter-free living space, making it easier to find what they need and reducing stress.
