On August 7, 2019, Founders Factory and RB announced the launch of Founders Factory Hygiene and Home, a joint venture to support innovative startups in the homecare and hygiene industry.
According to Rob De Groot, President of RB Hygiene Home, the partnership aims to bring disruptive thinking to the business and serve consumers in new and exciting ways.
RB, Founders Factory's eighth corporate partner, will utilize its scale and share expertise in homecare and hygiene to collaborate with talented entrepreneurs and bring the next generation of technology-driven solutions to its consumers.
Founders Factory, co-founded by Brent Hoberman, Henry Lane Fox, and George Northcott in 2015, has built and scaled over 100 start-ups from its hubs in London, Johannesburg, and Paris via its unique corporate-backed accelerator and studio model.
Henry Lane Fox, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Founders Factory, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are very excited to partner with RB to help the most ambitious entrepreneurs build and scale new startups within the hygiene and home sector.”
Founders Factory has received investment from several prominent companies, including L’Oreal, easyJet, Guardian Media Group, Aviva, Holtzbrinck, CSC, Marks & Spencer, and Reckitt Benckiser. The organization has a full-time team of 70 specialists and creates 15 new startups every year, investing in 40 startups annually.
