Published on August 7, 2019, gospel artiste Daddy Owen has revealed that his marriage is not as perfect as people want to imagine.
Speaking during an exclusive interview, Owen shared that he and his wife, Farida Wambui, who tied the knot in a colourful wedding in 2016, have had their fair share of arguments.
According to Owen, one of the major reasons they used to argue is because of text messages and calls that were often misinterpreted.
"Arguments are normal, My grandmother used to say that if a marriage has no arguments one person is lying to the other," Owen said.
However, Owen revealed that with time, he and his wife discovered that marriage is not about policing someone, but rather about embracing each other's differences.
"Marriage is a transition," Owen said, adding that it's essential to understand that your spouse came from a different background and family.
For Owen, one thing that has made his marriage work is the fact that he chose to work on himself first.
