Kenyan TV presenter Lulu Hassan has been celebrating her 10-year marriage to Rashid Abdalla, a popular Swahili presenter, with a series of heartwarming posts on social media.
Published on August 7, 2019, Lulu took to social media to share a few photos from their special day, marking a decade since they exchanged vows.
However, what caught the attention of many was Lulu's revelation about how she chose Rashid despite his financial struggles at the time.
According to Lulu, she was already a popular face on TV when she met Rashid, who was earning a mere Ksh 5,000 per month. Despite his financial constraints, Lulu chose him, and when the time came for Rashid to pay dowry, he could only afford to give her a prayer mat and a Quran.
Fast forward to today, Rashid has risen through the ranks to become one of the most celebrated Swahili presenters in the media industry, working alongside Lulu at the same media station and hosting the same program.
Reflecting on their journey, Lulu shared a valuable lesson, urging women not to judge someone based on their financial status or current condition. She emphasized that you may never know what tomorrow holds for him.
