Manchester United's search for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku has taken an interesting turn, with the club reportedly making a late bid for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
According to a UK Metro report, United have already made one bid for the prolific French striker, who has previously played in the Premier League for Fulham in the 2013-14 season.
Dembele's impressive goal-scoring form at Celtic, where he netted 51 goals in 94 appearances, and his subsequent move to Lyon last summer, where he scored 15 goals in Ligue 1 and 20 in all competitions, have made him a prime target for United.
Despite remaining unclear if Lyon would be ready to accept any offer for Dembele, the talented forward's move would likely be dependent on Lukaku's departure from Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Lukaku has been training with former club Anderlecht rather than with his United team-mates, fuelling speculation about his future at the club.
