Kenyan musician Fena Gitu has clarified her stance on performance fees, dispelling rumors that she is cheap and accepts low payments for her shows.

Published on August 7, 2019, in an interview with Betty Kyallo on her show Weekend With Betty, Fena revealed that her earnings per show vary depending on the event and her level of experience.

When asked about her first paying gig, Fena shared that she was paid 5,000 Kenyan shillings, which is a relatively modest amount for an artiste of her caliber. However, she also mentioned that she now quotes fees that are comparable to the cost of producing a music video, which can range from around half a million Kenyan shillings.

On a more personal note, Fena also addressed the topic of her sexuality, stating that it is no one's business and that she prefers to focus on her work rather than engaging with the public's curiosity.

With a plan to take her music to an international platform, Fena Gitu is set to make a significant impact on the global music scene, and fans are eagerly awaiting her next move.
