Microsoft Appoints Equity Bank's Jack Ngare to Lead Africa Development Centre

Published on August 7, 2019, Microsoft has appointed Jack Ngare, the former head of Equity Bank's Finserve platform, to lead its Africa Development Centre (ADC) in Nairobi.

Ngare brings extensive experience in the tech industry, having previously worked for British Telecom, Stanbic Bank, and NIC Bank, among others. He also holds two Master's degrees from Harvard University and the University of Leicester, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Leicester.

As the first Managing Director of the ADC, Ngare will be responsible for expanding Microsoft's reach in Africa. He expressed his excitement about the new role, saying, “This is such an incredible opportunity, to join an organisation that is truly empowering people globally, and in Africa, to achieve more. I can’t wait to start my new journey as managing director and proud to lead such a talented team in Nairobi.”
