Meddie Kagere, the Rwandese striker for Gor Mahia, is reportedly seeking a hefty sum of Sh8 million to join Tanzanian giants Yanga. The news comes as Kagere is fresh from leading Gor Mahia to success in the SportPesa Super Cup.

According to a Tanzanian publication, Bingwa, Kagere has caught the attention of both Dar es Salaam bigwigs Simba and Yanga, who are looking to bolster their squads ahead of the 2018/2019 league season.

During the SportPesa Super Cup in Nakuru, Kagere impressed the technical benches of these two teams with his impressive performance, emerging as the top scorer with four goals in three matches.

As reported by Bingwa, Kagere is demanding Tsh180 million (approximately Sh8 million) and a monthly pay of Tsh7,000,00 (approximately Sh311,000) to join Yanga.

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr, however, has stated that he would only allow Kagere to leave the club at the expiry of his contract in November.
