Manchester United has turned down a £27.6 million offer from Real Madrid for Paul Pogba, the Spanish club's final bid for the highly rated midfielder.
According to The Times (UK), sources in Spain confirmed that Real Madrid had offered Paul Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, £27.6 million plus James Rodriguez in exchange for the 26-year-old midfielder.
However, Manchester United has rejected the offer, stating that it falls far short of the £150 million price tag they have placed on Pogba.
Real Madrid's persistence in trying to sign Pogba has been met with resistance from Manchester United, who have made it clear that the midfielder is not for sale.
As a result, Real Madrid has turned its attention to Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, with reports suggesting that the two clubs have already reached an agreement for the midfielder in a deal worth £60 million.
Meanwhile, Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, is reportedly in talks with Manchester United over the possibility of the midfielder returning to Juventus instead.
Real Madrid's inability to afford Pogba has dealt a major blow to the midfielder's dreams of joining the Spanish club this summer.
