Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness has given his prediction for Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea ahead of the new Premier League season.
Speaking on the upcoming season, Souness believes that Manchester City and Liverpool are clear favourites to contest for the title once again.
He singled out Tottenham as the nearest challengers to the top two, with Manchester United also in contention for a Champions League spot.
However, Souness wrote off Arsenal and Chelsea's chances of finishing in the top four, citing their inability to challenge at the top.
"I still think, even though Maguire will make them better, it doesn’t make them good enough to challenge at the top," Souness said of Manchester United's chances.
He also stated that he sees the title being contested between Manchester City and Liverpool, with Tottenham and Manchester United as the nearest challengers.
"I see it being between the big two again [champions Manchester City and runners-up Liverpool. The nearest challengers will be Tottenham – and after that United. Neither Arsenal or Chelsea are good enough," he submitted.
