On August 6, 2019, Tottenham star Victor Wanyama made a generous donation to Mahale Education Centre in Kawangware, Kenya, by supplying the institution with foodstuffs worth KSh 250,000.
The foodstuffs, which included rice, flour, sugar, drinking water, milk, and cooking oil, are expected to sustain the school for the whole of August.
According to Alawi Abdul, who delivered the consignment on behalf of Wanyama, the school approached the Tottenham star over the issue during the Royal Charity Cup tournament at St. Mary's School in Nairobi last month.
Abdul revealed that Wanyama asked him to make the delivery on his behalf and has also committed to support the school whenever in need.
Wanyama's philanthropic act is a testament to his kindness and generosity, especially during these challenging times.
As the institution supports orphans and vulnerable children drawn from the low-income area of Kawangware, Wanyama's donation will go a long way in ensuring their well-being.
