On August 6, 2019, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) ushered in a new council, following an election earlier this year.

At the helm of the new council is CPA Rose Wairimu Mwaura, a seasoned Deloitte Partner with over two decades of experience in Audit and advisory services. Her extensive local and international experience in both private and public sectors has equipped her to lead the institute forward.

As the 23rd Chairperson of ICPAK, Rose Mwaura aspires to enhance the institute's service delivery efficiency, strengthen regulations, and protect its members. She also plans to drive the institute's devolution by empowering branch leadership in decision-making.

Other notable appointments include FCPA George Mokua as Vice Chairman, CPA Olick Risper as Council Member, FCPA Dr. Nicholas K Letting as Council Member, and CPA Elizabeth Ntaambi Kalunda as Council Member.
